Siberian Tigerpede

Siberian Tigers were such wonderful animals when all we knew of were Earth organisms. However their original design has become mundane by today's standards. In order to keep zoo patrons' interest we had to update these creature's designs. Survey results as well as attendance numbers clearly show people are not interested in seeing the Siberian Tigers from our youth. In order to save some vestige of these animals we made the choice to update the Siberian Tiger to appeal to today's generation.

Beaked Creature

Something I did yesterday just for fun and to play around with color. I realized a good portion of my creatures are on the slim side so I tried to keep this guy big and muscular.

Gelboros

An alchemist was finally able to incubate the mythic philosophers stone. However, much to his surprise, the gold used in the stone's creation surrounded the stone and formed a delicate golden creature. The alchemist kept the amazing creature as his familiar. Being an extremely clever creature it helped aid him in the creation of many extraordinary discoveries. As the alchemist grew old an weary he realized his faithful companion, sustained by the stone, was an immortal being. For the alchemist's last experiment he created a second philosophers stone and thus a second Gelboros so that the two golden creatures could forever have a companion. Since the death of their original master it is said that the two creatures will appear to and aid an alchemist who they deem worthy before once again disappearing without a trace.

COW 222 Walking Limb Disease

This horrifying condition was first documented when a former astronaut, misdiagnosed with restless leg syndrome, woke to find his arm detached and crawling around the room. Walking Limb Disease is believed to have come from alien pathogens picked up somewhere on the astronaut's travels but its exact place of origin has yet to be discovered. Once infected the symptoms are quite similar to restless leg syndrome until of course your afflicted limb detaches. The creature must gestate for several months before it is capable of detaching and surviving on its own, once it detaches it will continue to mutate to better suit its survival. Walking limb disease can affect both arms and legs, but thankfully there have only been a handful of cases...so far.

Alice Colored

Should have uploaded this a LONG time ago but I was still making a few tweaks to it and was mulling over editing it any more. Forgot about it for a bit and then realized I wasn't going to edit it anymore so I thought I should post it.

Buggit Colored

Here is a full color version of my alien rabbit, also known as a "Buggit", from my previous turnaround. These are small, about the size of a medium to small earth rabbit, and pack hunters. They attack prey in groups similarly to piranha. One will quickly bite a chunk out of their victim and then dart away for the next buggit to jump in and take a bit, and the next, and the next so on and so forth till the prey animal is completely devoured.

Red Planet

Another picture where I tried to give more attention to the environment. I came up with the creature design first and then decided that it would be interesting and practical for a bright red creature to live on a planet where all the foliage is red. The creature in the image is an eyeless predator that hunts and communicates by body heat.
